How a Non-Profit WordPress Site can save money, time and other resources

Rocky Mountain Oracle Users Group (RMOUG.org) is a wonderful non-profit group of well, Oracle database users who gather for education, meeting other experts in their related fields, educating high school and college students through scholarships in IT database management and furthering their contributions to the Oracle world of users. I loved working with these dedicated volunteers to upgrade their legacy site into a site on the WordPress platform.

The content management format of WordPress works perfectly for volunteer organizations because your people come and go. With the ability for appointed authors to add content to the site, update calendars remotely, use mailings lists and membership applications with very little training on “how to”, RMOUG.org’s site was designed, complete, online, with volunteers trained and updated by volunteers within three weeks. And it is very cost effective.
